Burke, Virginia is a town in Fairfax County . It is named after Silas Burke (1796–1854), a farmer who lived in the area. Silas Burke arrived in Fairfax County, Virginia in 1829 as a member of the first Wilkes Expedition dispatched by then President John Quincy Adams.
